Who we are and how to reach us

Major Mixing is an online mixing and mastering studio based at c/ Abat Escarre 20, 08191 Rubí, Barcelona, Spain. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

For anything about your data — a question, a copy, a correction, a deletion — write to info@majormixing.com or use the contact page. We answer in the same working days we answer everything else.

This policy was last updated on 7 September 2026.

What we collect, and why

When you order. Your name, email address and the notes you write about the project, plus the audio files you upload. We need these to do the work and to send it back. Legal basis: performance of a contract.

When you ask for a free track review. Name, email, your notes and the file you send. Same basis: you asked us to do something and we cannot do it without them.

When you pay. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout and never reach our servers. We see the amount, the currency, the last four digits and whether it succeeded.

When you write to us in chat or by email. The message and your contact details, so we can reply and find the conversation later.

When you browse. Standard technical data — IP address, browser, pages viewed — and, only if you accept them, analytics and advertising cookies. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Cookies and consent

Nothing beyond what the site needs to function is set until you choose. Analytics, advertising and personalisation storage are all set to denied by default, and the banner gives “Reject Non-Essential” the same weight as “Accept All”.

You can change your mind at any time through the Consent Preferences link in the footer of every page.

Essential cookies keep your session and your form progress. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) tell us which pages people use. Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta) measure whether an ad led to an order.

Who else processes your data

We use a small number of services to run the studio. Each one only receives what it needs.

  • Stripe — payment processing. Card data goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers.
  • Filestack — the upload service that receives and stores your audio files while we work on them. This is the processor that holds unreleased music, so we name it explicitly.
  • Intercom — the live chat. Holds the transcript of any conversation you have with us there.
  • Google — Analytics and Ads measurement, only with your consent.
  • Meta — advertising measurement, only with your consent.
  • Our hosting provider — stores the site and its database.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Transfers outside the EU

Some of the services above are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area it is transferred under the safeguards those providers offer — Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. If you would like the detail for a specific provider, ask us and we will send it.

How long we keep things

Audio and project files — kept while the project is open and for a limited period afterwards so revisions and re-renders are possible. Ask us at any point and we will delete them.

Order and invoice records — kept for as long as Spanish tax and accounting law requires.

Chat and email — kept while the conversation is useful to either of us.

Analytics — kept according to the retention setting of the analytics provider, in aggregate rather than as individual profiles.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or EEA you have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time, and that does not affect anything done before you did.

Write to info@majormixing.com and we will act on it. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).

Rights to your music

Your music is yours. We do not claim any interest in it, we do not register ourselves as a rights holder, and once a project is paid for the mix and master belong to you outright. We only name publicly released tracks as credits, never unreleased material, and we will remove any mention on request. The full clause is in our terms.

Children

This is a service for professional and independent musicians and we do not direct it at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be mentioned in the footer for a period so returning visitors notice them.
